Hair Color and Style
Melanthe has long, thick, curly black hair that ends around her mid-breast. She has no specific preference in how her hair is worn and will wear it either down or up. If she feels up to it, she may actually put forth effort into making it look good.
Eyes
She has rather cat-eye shaped eyes that are a striking blue color.
Skin Tone and Complexion
Melanthe has ivory skin that appears free of any blemishes. She does have shadows under her eyes, due to her inability to sleep more than an hour. Around her torso, arms, and legs there are a few scars from her time growing up and getting into trouble. She attempts to hide these blemishes to the best she can.
Height, Weight, and Figure
Standing at around 5'6", Melanthe is has a slender, slight pear-shaped body that can be considered hourglass shaped. With averagely sized breasts and slightly wider hips, and dainty hands and feet. Having relied more on the witchcraft of her homeland, Melanthe is far from being muscular and has more muscles in her legs then her arms, and that's only because of her occasionally travelling by foot.
It is estimated Melanthe weighs around 133 pounds, give or take.
Scent
Melanthe is rather fond of incense and spices and these scents often get trapped in her hair, clothes, and skin. The most common scent coming from Melanthe is light cinnamon.
Clothing Style
Preferring darker clothing, Melanthe is only occasionally seen in anything in light, 'happy' colors. Commonly wearing black, dark purple, dark blue and well...you get the point.
Melanthe also favors the flowing sleeves that are 'in-season' from King's Landing, she is however not fond of the large skirts and usually sticks to something a bit lighter unless she otherwise has no choice in the matter. Melanthe also likes simplistic hair decorations,such as a circlet. A lover of simple things, Melanthe wears jewelry but nothing that stands out.
Scars, Piercings, and Tattoos
Melanthe has standard ear piercings and no ink has ever touched her skin, save for ink that came from a quill.
There are various scars across Melanthe's body but none on her face or neck. None are very notable but the most noticeable, if she were to let you see them, would be the one across her left hipbone, the smaller one under her right breast, and the one across the palm of her hand.
The one on her hipbone she received after being attacked on the road by a 'deranged lunatic' as she would say.
The one under her breast is when she was stabbed for being a 'dastardly she-witch'. Herbs and careful caring helped her pull through.
The one across the palm of her hand is self-inflicted and was used to strengthen her magic. An old and dastardly type of magic that Melanthe is no longer interested in.

A calm, quick-witted woman, Melanthe is a rather introverted person. Preferring her own company over others, she finds solace in solitude and it's not because she is 'shy'. She is actually quite confident and can even come off as arrogant in some cases. An egotist since birth, Melanthe also hates being told she is wrong and naturally always thinks she is correct.
Emotions are a fickle thing with Melanthe. Melanthe does prefer to keep her true emotions private but she is not a stone-wall. When in the right company, or if you get her drunk enough, one can find that she is very emotional and enjoys smiling and laughing. In fact, the 'right company' is very important in considering Melanthe's personality. When in large groups, she is reserved and chooses her words carefully. Putting thoughts before speaking is important to her and was influenced by her mother, whether she admits that or not. When around less than pleasurable people, Melanthe maintains a pleasant facade and makes sure the person that she is talking to is none the less wiser to her dislike of them.
A bad habit Melanthe has is using people to her advantage. She will occasionally befriend someone, only to use them and toss them away as if they were trash. A manipulative and clever woman, Melanthe isn't all bad. If challenged, however, Melanthe can be quite ruthless and could care less about 'honor'. She tries her damndest to get what she wants, but the cost does matter.
Due to the bad fortune that circled her mother in the matter of romances, Melanthe is rather careful to make sure that nothing of she sort happens to herself. If that means avoiding romantic relations, so be it. Melanthe could care less.
Having never been in a serious relationship, she is fairly new to it and may not understand a single 'damn thing about the blasted emotion' as she would say.

Melanthe found Corvius on one of her many travels. The baby bird had fallen from the nest, unable to fly like it's siblings. Melanthe had/has a known fondness for the birds and so she took him under her care and nursed him up until eventually he could fly. Assuming he would go off into the world, Melanthe was surprised when she released him that when she returned to her home at the time, he would be perched on the back of her chair. The two are more-or-less inseparable.

Bought from a merchant, Melanthe had loved the horse since the moment she laid eyes on him. Sadly, the horse didn't return the affection and proceeded to charge and go into a frenzy whenever Melanthe went around him. When Melanthe asked for help, the only advice she received was to just let him go. She refused to give up on the Stallion and continued to go around him. Admiring the stubborn dedication, Melanthe eventually tamed the beast and the two became quick friends.

Melanthe likes to think of herself as a guardian to the Stark girl. She took pity on how lost and alone the girl seemed to be and after witnessing the cruelty of Joffrey, Melanthe took upon herself to become a mother-type figure to her. Amused by Sansa's strong will and refusal to just 'give in' Melanthe's views on Sansa changed as the two got to know each other more. Melanthe makes sure she is always close to Sansa when attending court, in case someone needs to step in to help the poor girl.
Sandor Clegane
The two are on fairly good terms and Melanthe would dare consider him a friend. Although Melanthe is unclear if the feelings of friendship are mutual, Melanthe will often talk with Sandor. Their relationship is built on nothing but just the woman's pure curiosity and actually started out rather rocky. Things smoothed over, eventually.

Born in Asshai, Essos, Melanthe had been surrounded by whispers of magic for most of her childhood. It intrigued her and she kept in mind the desire to study it.
Raised by both parents from birth until the age of four, Melanthe lived a relatively restless and angry childhood. Constant fighting between her parents caused Melanthe to shy away from others and take solace in solitude. Eventually, her father left and her mother decided to move to Westeros around the time Melanthe turned seven. Times got better and Melanthe and her mother grew close. The young girl admired her mother's grace and wit and wanted to grow up just like her. However, Melanthe's viewpoint on her mother changed drastically around the time she turned 10. She noticed her mother frequently married and un-married over and over. All of the marriages ending badly. Disgusted by how her mother had such poor judgement, Melanthe once again took to solitude and began her studies in the Assai practice of Shadowbinding.
At the age of 15, Melanthe's mother became more involved with the Faith of the Seven and eventually went on to become a Silent Sister, which all in all, left Melanthe without a parental figure. Luckily, she still had the house that did not require her to pay rent.
Between the ages of 15-20, Melanthe received proposals of marriage, each of which she turned down without a second thought. The idea of marriage had been ruined for her and she would not risk her happiness to such a thing. She did have a few relationships, all the which were never serious nor long-lasting. More or less it was to cure loneliness.
A relatively dull existence, Melanthe isn't sure how she ended up tangled amidst the chaos of Kings Landing. She isn't complaining though. Melanthe does love how interesting everything is. Since she isn't native to Westeros, several people distrust her and most often inaccurately call her a wilding. Being non-Westerosi often earns her insults which pass through one ear and out the other.
Melanthe's Witchcraft Abilities:
Can take the pain away from and injury but it is absorbed into herself, meaning she'll feel the pain while the other person won't. This does not heal the injury and the pain comes back over time.
Coming from a land where Shadow-Binding is common and well-practiced, the art of using shadows as 'puppets' comes naturally. She prefers to use her shadow as a spy. Sending the shadow over long distances gradually weakens Melanthe. The farther the shadow, the weaker she grows; she eventually can become bedridden.
Melanthe is well-practiced in herbs/alchemy. Often making medicines and salves for herself, than rather to share.
Being away from Asshai weakens Melanthe's magic. Should she ever return to her homeland, her abilities may grow over time.
